Scripts are hacks?

Scripts are hacks!, well not really. Valve has said over and over and over again, that using any type of scripts via console or editing config file(s) (settings) won't get you banned. So if it's not ban-able, why do so many people say it's hacking? Mainly because they don't understand what scripting is and how it works.

Lets think of it this way, if you change your cross hair size or edit your mouse sensitivity that is the same as using a script accept it has a menu. You can edit your mouse sensitivity in console to, the "scripting" way, by typing "sensitivity xxxx" xxx being what mouse sensitivity you want.

So, how is this hacking? It's not, but it gives an advantage. So if you know a lot about scrips you can make scripts that, double zoom scope you and fire then change to pistol then back to awp withing 1 second by pressing one button, you can also make scripts to bunnyhop.

Either way, it's giving you an advantage, nothing more, nothing less.
