is a new gun in order?

Are you tried of the same boring old guns? apart from the fact counter strike came out in 1999 and all the guns are totally out dated, is a new gun in order? Maybe even a reshuffle of all the guns. Apart from the major guns such as the Deagle, Awp, Ak etc..

In modern warfare, guns change often. But counter strike is starting to get out dated. The reason valve probably does not introduce new guns is because they will be stronger. considering a Ak is already 1 bullet headshot and awp is 1 bullet kill. Image new guns that are even stronger...

I use walls and aimbot, duh

hmm, I was playing pub on a no sniper server. As normal I was totally dominating noobs. My scores were like 50:5 40:4 normally 10:1. I was on a large gaming network (Internode) then a admin from another gaming network (as shown in picture below) is banning me from all servers that are hosting in the network.

This is very funny as I've never used a cheat in my life. How would the noob admin feel from the network?

suggestions for valve

Valve seems to have been very busy lately making crap updates. If they are not making counter strike source lag more, they are making a crappy Dynamic Weapons Pricing System, that no servers use.

Anyway, done with my rant, here are some cool suggestions I suggest Valve put in for counter strike source.

- Ability to listen to enemies radio/mic conversations if they are in a close distance.
- Physics, imaging you shoot someone on the side with a scout, the bullet will go through them and do damage to there liver, stomach and leave a bullet. Which would do more damage then the current settings, which is the bullet only does damage to your skin.

aim for the sky!, well almost

Headshots!, the easy way to kill people. Only 1 shot required with most guns. So how to easily kill people with Headshots? Aim for the head of course. But what if someone kills you before you even get time to aim at their head?

The answer is here!, when you're running or walking around be sure to have your cross hair aimed at around head hight. Then soon as you see an enemy, you can just spam with an auto gun and be sure to get a headshot. But if you're aiming at around chest (as most people do) it takes around 1 second for you to aim at their head. They could easily have killed you by then. So remember, when you're walking around have your cross hair aimed at head level. I promise you, you will get more Headshots.

Scripts are hacks?

Scripts are hacks!, well not really. Valve has said over and over and over again, that using any type of scripts via console or editing config file(s) (settings) won't get you banned. So if it's not ban-able, why do so many people say it's hacking? Mainly because they don't understand what scripting is and how it works.

Lets think of it this way, if you change your cross hair size or edit your mouse sensitivity that is the same as using a script accept it has a menu. You can edit your mouse sensitivity in console to, the "scripting" way, by typing "sensitivity xxxx" xxx being what mouse sensitivity you want.

So, how is this hacking? It's not, but it gives an advantage. So if you know a lot about scrips you can make scripts that, double zoom scope you and fire then change to pistol then back to awp withing 1 second by pressing one button, you can also make scripts to bunnyhop.

Either way, it's giving you an advantage, nothing more, nothing less.

To awp or not to awp?

Another question that's been on mans mind since 1999. To awp or not to awp?. All things aside the awp is a highly powered weapon, around 400-500 damage for a head shot. Remember this is a high powered rifle + scope, so you can expect power. People usually don't have trouble accepting the fact that the awp is a highly powered weapon, although people do have trouble accepting the fact that any one with any kind of aim can pick up an awp, scope on a small area and easily kill anyone that comes though it. So it kind off comes down to 3 things for the individual -

1.Why shouldn't you awp?
2.Will you need to awp for your clan or online?
3.Do you enjoy awping?

1. Apart from the fact the awp does so much damage, it's more satisfying for some killing using a scout then an awp.
2. If you're like me and you're in a clan and your job is to awp and do long range shots, you need to be good at awping and practice.
3. I play this game for the purpose of fun only. No one's offering me money, so I try to enjoy the game. Awping for me is not as much enjoyment as killing someone with mac10 or a scout.

Simple tweak to give an advantage

Who does not want a little advantage over the competition? Have you ever been playing Dust2 and been awped though middle doors or DD even if you could not see your enemy? chances are they edited their settings to show shadows at high definition.

So they can see the black shadow and figure out where you are and accordingly shoot and kill you, or make you low hp. Now anyone can do this : just go to options, video then advance settings then make shadow definition high.

Good luck owning noobs!

What gun is best for ME?

What gun is best for your style? Maybe a gun with high damage for short range?, Maybe a gun that is good for high sensitivity?, Maybe a gun that's good if you play to get a high score?. Each gun is like a hat, no 2 hats look good on the same people. Guns are much the same. If you're an aggressive rusher, Maybe the P90 is best for you, If you're a close combat warrior maybe Shotguns are best for you?, If you're a long distance shooter maybe a scout or awp is necessary?, if you're a real strafe shooter maybe Mp5 is best?, If you're a stealth player who aims with detail, maybe a Maverick or USP is order?

See what a mean, each style of player has their own gun that they become accustomed to. Some people are good with any gun. But in most cases the user will just try to be good at 2-3 guns. It has it's advantages being good at cheap guns and expensive guns. Such as -

You're in a war, the map is Dust2, Your Counter Terrorist and you're saving money to buy up in the later rounds, but you need to buy a average firing rate and damage gun as you're job is to cover bombiste b tunnels, because you've trained so much with the Mp5 you buy it, the Terrorists all buy deagles and rush bomsite b, luckily you spam and kill 3 with headshots leaving two, you then reload and wait for backup.

Now, image you were only good with awp, so you bought a scout in the first round, you go b tunnels, the terrorists are rushing you hard, you manage to only so 70 damage to one and then you get flashed, try to bring out your usp, but you're no match for 5 Terrorists with deagels, you and your partner then both die, the Terrorists plant and you loose.

See how the gun you use can impact on your tactics.

My advice - Become good at 1 pistol, 1 submachine gun, 1 scoped gun, 1 auto rifle.

It's like being the jack of all trades. The ability to pick up any gun and win a round.

Glocks have to go?

I was recently reading the Counter Strike Source section on Steam forums when someone suggested that Glocks are overpowered, unbalanced and are basically unfair being semi auto with the burst function. I'm not too sure about those comments but the Glock does reasonable damage, minimal recoil + the ability to shoot 3 bullets at once. Image it's a hostage map, there's 3 terrorists camped using Glocks + burst fire and you've got 1 minute left to try to get the hostages , You rush in, then get instantly spammed by 3 "Glockers". There's no chance you can get past 3 "Glockers" all using burst fire camped, waiting for you to enter though a 1 metre wide doorway.

More news on ingame advertising

I was just reading steam forums when I got some more info about what the advertisments will be like

- The ads are placed in natural places, like, billboards, soda machines..
- The ads are so small they won't cause a big download..
- They cause NO fps differnet and won't lag you ingame...
- They are not spy ware...

Here's a sample of what it could look like...

Ingame Advertising coming to Counter Strike Source?

We all know in early 2007 there's going to be ingame advertising in Counter Strike 1.6. Valve announced this 2 weeks ago. We can expect to see minimal advertising with gaming companies such as AMD, Logititech, and anything gamers could find interesting. The advertisements won't be clickible they will just be image's only. So it should not effect gameplay too much. But many gamers are more becoming increasingly worried with the bad choices Valve has been making lately. Such as Dynamic Weapon Pricing, Awp damage, Scripts, and the latest Skywalking.

I'm not to concerned it's going to effect gameplay. It's not like Counter Strike is going to become like downtown Japan. But I am like the rest of the Counter Strike (Source) community worried about the bad choices Valve has been making lately.

What's next, radio advertising?

Skywalking on Dust2

First of all. Skywalking's been around since Dust2 was first out in around 1999-2000. It's a simple exploit where a user can walk around on "top" of the map. You might remember seeing this in Dust in Counter Strike 1.6. At Counter Terrorist spawn. When 3 Counter Terrorists would boost until they would be Skywalking. This is not considered a "hack". Check the servers rules before using this. The only way you could get banned is if Skywalking is not allowed on the server and there's either an Admin on, or someone demo's and submits.
Anyway.. here's a great video on how to do it.
